Peron's Tree Frog

Sunday, 23 October 2011 | link | tag | / Photography
I found a frog in my backyard, which is tremendous news. I've lived here for over 5 years, and this is the first time I've seen a frog, so it must mean my garden is finally improving if frogs can live there.

I'm pretty sure this is a Peron's Tree Frog .

Here is an MP3 of the sound one makes, I've heard this coming from my stormwater pipes, but thought it was a gecko. Peron's Tree Frog Call .

Canon 350D

Canon have released the 350D at about the same price point as the 300D. Upgrades include an 8 megapixel CCD (the bastards!) and smaller, lighter, lower power design. Don't you hate it? If you don't have an SLR yet, I doubt you could beat this package. I'm kind of glad I didn't drop the extra 2 G's on the 20D when I replaced my 300D - apart from the lower frame rate, this has it all.

Underwater Camera

I should have an underwater housing for my Canon 300D Digital Rebel by mid-March. I'm also getting a DS-125 Substrobe and the port for the kit 18-55mm lens that comes with the SLR. I was tossing up whether to get an underwater housing for a second digital camera that I had, a Nikon Coolpix 5700, but the money required was nearly as much as for the 300D enclosure, and its nowhere near the amount of camera.
